A $5000 scholarship program for veterinary students
MSD Animal Health and the World Veterinary Association (WVA) have announced a $5,000 scholarship program for veterinary students in 2020 to enhance the academic experience of veterinary students.
Required qualifications for students:
1. No previous MSD General Health / World Veterinary Association scholarship.
2. Citizens of one of the countries covered by the scholarship.
3. Currently a 2019-20 academic year student at a recognized University of Veterinary Medicine in that country.
4. Successfully completed the first year exam.
5. Second or third year students in the program (if the program is longer than 4 years).
6. First and last year students are not eligible candidates for this scholarship program.
Deadline for submitting application forms:
The full application must be submitted by March 20, 2020, 12:30 pm (Brussels time) at wva_assistic@worldvet.org. The application form (http://bit.ly/33UqgRf) can be downloaded from the address.
Applications will be reviewed by an ad hoc committee of the World Veterinary Association Veterinary Education Working Group. The list of selected students will be published June 15, 2020 on the World Veterinary Association website and media channels.
It is important to note that the MSD Animal Health and the World Veterinary Association encourage eligible students to submit their applications and wish all the candidates success. The MSD General Health / World Veterinary Association also offers veterinary student scholarship programs successfully in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Sixteen students from Latin America, 10 from Africa, 10 from North Africa / Middle East and 5 students from Asia / Oceania region will be selected for the scholarship and $5,000 will be awarded to each student.
