Credit Card
Credit cards are a method by which you borrow money from a bank to spend. This amount of borrowed money is called "credit limit" of the original credit card. Based on your monthly income, the bank gives you this limit. For example, if your monthly income is Tk 4,000, you can usually get a credit card of up to Tk 1 lakh. However, credit limit may be lower depending on the policy of the bank from which you are taking the credit card. But whether you will be eligible for a credit card is a big question. Because, generally, if you are not a fairly well-paid employee, the bank will not make you eligible for a credit card. Because the credit limit is based on the salary you receive each month.
After you receive the credit card, you can use it to make payments anywhere where credit card is accepted as a payment method. Every month you use a credit card, wherever you pay for the amount (within the limit), you will be issued a bill from the bank at the end of the month. Then within a certain time you have to pay that bill to the bank. This time limit can vary from bank to policy, but usually lasts 3-5 days. And after paying this monthly bill, you will be given a credit limit next month. For example, if your credit limit is 3,000 rupees, and if you spend 3 thousand rupees, you will get another 3 rupees credit limit for the next month only if you pay that 3,000 rupees within the specified time of issue of the bill.
Credit cards typically work both online and offline. However, if you want to use your credit limit outside Bangladesh, ie International Transaction, you will need an International Passport. If you do not have a passport with millions of cash credit limit, you will not be able to make any payment or transaction outside Bangladesh with credit card.
If you have a passport, you can enable your credit card for international transactions and convert a certain part of your credit limit into a foreign currency, so that you can make payments in foreign currency if you go abroad. You can also make international transactions online. For example, buying an app / game from the Google Play Store, or buying a product from foreign e-commerce sites, or spending on Facebook Boost or Google Ads.
